Access

Dance City

Dance City is fully accessible to wheelchair users throughout with fully automated doors, level access to the building and an induction loop system in the theatre space. A free ticket is offered to anyone accompanying a visitor with disabilities. Guide dogs are welcome in all parts of the Theatre

Theatre Royal

The Theatre Royal has a Sennheiser infra-red amplification system. There are 6 wheelchair spaces for every performance, although the theatre request that disabled patrons are accompanied by an able-bodied guest whose ticket is free. There is extra seating for patrons able to transfer from a wheelchair into a theatre seat. Please inform the Booking Office of any requests you may have when you book your tickets. Guide dogs are welcome in all parts of the theatre.

Northern Stage

Northern Stage is a fully accessible building with level access to the Kings Road. All entrances have automated doors. There is space for up to six wheelchairs. It is not possible for staff to help visitors out of wheelchairs. A free ticket is offered to anyone accompanying a visitor with disabilities. If you are intending to transfer out of a wheelchair, please let the sales team know. There is an induction loop system in all public spaces and an infra-red system in all stages. The Front-of-House team have been trained in basic BSL and announcements are made on screens as well as by a public speaker system. Guide dogs are welcome thoughout the building.
